About Us

Who We Are - Followers of the King

To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. - Revelation 1:5-6 (ESV)

We are disciples of Jesus who have been saved by His grace. Our goal is to follow Him with genuine faith and lovingly submit to His leadership. Together, we form a family that shares a commitment to honoring Jesus as King. Our loyalty to Christ supersedes human traditions and teachings. We are seeking to follow His simple plan for Christianity as described in the New Testament. We are not a denomination or goverened by a heiarchy or creed, but simply Christians with a common faith, hope, and love - in Jesus our King.

Why We Exist - Building the Kingdom

...to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the fath, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood... - Ephesians 4:12-13 (ESV)

We exist to help one another grow in spiritual maturity. The church is like a human body, composed of many parts with Jesus as its head. Following His guidance, we stand upon two principles - unity in truth, and purity in love. We work together to build upon this foundation by teaching His eternal word and serving one another in relationships. We are not a social club, rec center, or political organization. Instead, we are focused on teaching the gospel. Our goal is to see each person and family grow in what matters most - faith in Jesus our King.

How We Serve - Proclaiming the King

And Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

We serve our neighbors, community, and world by spreading the good news of Jesus' grace. We are disciples making disciples. As His church we enjoy the incomparable riches of God's forgiveness and mercy, and we wish to share these blessings with all. The message of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection convicts us of our sin, calls us to repent, and promises life - no matter a person's background. We proclaim the gospel and call all people to be saved by obeying Jesus as King.

What to Expect - Worshipping the King

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. - Acts 2:42 (ESV)

We gather to worship Jesus according to His plan in the New Testament. Jesus' plan includes no praise bands or flashy aesthetics, only sincere expressions of gratitude and love. In our worship we strive to honor Jesus, not entertain people. On a typical Sunday morning you will find us -

  • Remembering Jesus through the Lord's Supper (Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34)
  • Singing hymns to praise God and uplift one another (Ephesians 5:18-20, Colossians 3:16)
  • Praying to express our thanks and needs to God (1 Timothy 2:1-8, Acts 12:5,12)
  • Teaching God's word through classes and sermons (Ephesians 4:11-16, Acts 20:17-21)
  • Giving financially to fund the collective work of the church - visitors are never expected to give (Acts 4:34-35, 1 Corinthians 16:1-4)

Come grow with us - you too can follow the King!
